I really enjoyed this series, there’s nothing that stands out to separate it from many of the other in this genre, but it is well written and the characters have excellent depth. I found myself feeling emotions for the characters as they went through different things. One thing that I have to mention though that bugs me. For some reason the author has zero knowledge of the effectiveness of shotguns. At one point saying that a person was out of the shotguns effective range but that person was still close enough to throw a knife. And another point someone was being held at gunpoint by a shotgun and the author claimed they were too far away for it to be effective they were at the front door the shotgun was in the kitchen. being a gun guy that bothered me more than it should have lol otherwise a great series highly recommended
