The narrator for this book is really great – it was well read and the tone of his voice really fit the “trucker life” that Keith Jesperson professes throughout this story. This is a really good serial killer biography, with a ton of actual quoted material from Jesperson himself. There is also a lot of quoted things from family and friends that often directly contradict Jesperson’s assertions. The truth is probably somewhere in the middle – although I tend to believe Keith Jesperson more than his dad. A great example of the typical psychopathic serial killer – narcissistic in the extreme, dishonest, minimizing his responsibility, and most of all – no empathy whatsoever, or concern for anyone except when he benefits from it.
