Sometimes I wonder why I like true-crime books. Part of it is that each criminal is so completely different. Stories are told from many points of view – sometimes the court records or police, the girlfriend or relatives – in this case, a large part of the story is told by the man who pulled the trigger. Olsen is a good storyteller – he lets the characters tell their stories and doesn’t waste words.
