the world seems to be put together fairly well for a litrpg style book.
Jeff Hays is as always amazing.
the characters have cool powers and are really imaginative with their application of them to fight with. and I like how there is not heavy emphasis of stat points (I like them in other books but in this world they would have been out of place)
now to my complaints.
there is a lot of unnecessary swearing that adds nothing to the story.
the main characters are 27 and 29 years old but act like 14 year old boys, Henry is 29 and divorced and goes from emotionally scarred to check out that teen girls tittys in the same paragraph and then back again.
everybody is just so damn emo all the time it kind of kills the ass kicking portions of the book.
all in all a good enough read, Jeff Hays is amazing to listen to no matter what the content of the story is.
the end wasint such a terrible cliff hanger that I feel the 2nd and 3rd books are entirely necessary to read but I might pick them up at some point.
