I’d read this collection earlier on but jumped at the opportunity to listen to one of my favorite narrators and his spin on it. It’s a series of stories of broken people trying just just keep getting by in worlds where things just keep getting in the way. Not much happiness in horror stories generally. There’s some weirdness both on purpose and some weird characterization that took me out of some scenes a little bit, but the rest of it brought me back in for the duration. These people are haunted by the past, the present, and the future, and it’s a solid read performed very well.
