This is not historical or paranormal, this is Wuxia. Anyone familiar with the genre will get it.
I downloaded this so I could listen to wuxia while working and thoroughly enjoyed the book. A lot of books in this genre rely on tropes like reincarnation, magic items, or a secrete or hidden master, but this one does not and it refreshing in how it’s just a fun story about an average cultivator and his journey. The MC is kind, honest, respectful and really makes you want to cheer for him, and I cant wait to do the other six books to see how he progresses.
