I tried this because of the narrator, and yes he did an amazing job as always, however the book content was amazing too. it has a similar feel to “he who fights with monsters” even down to the crystal wash/infernal wash, but the MC here is much more likable and less annoying. Not as much comedy as DCC, or Boxxy, but a great serious’ish novel with a very interesting and unique magic system. I can’t wait for the next one.
