I have listened to a ton of litRPG lately, and much of it is entertaining….but flawed. This is one of the surprisingly good ones I’ve listened to. I really like the main characters situation that ties him to the world, it’s unique, and believable. I don’t want to spoil anything so I’ll leave it at that. it was refreshing though. The conflicts he had over what is reality; and how his ideas, and beliefs change over time through experience with the world, and its beings was interesting. Being a monster character, and seeing the gaming world from the side of the fodder monsters was very cool.

This is a great start to a series. Loved the world building, decent amount of action, but not overly much. And there’s not an excessive amount of stats given compared to some other series, it’s there, but not annoyingly so. I was surprised at how well written it was. Many litRPG series from new authors are pretty dang rough around the edges, but this was very well done.

If youre a fan of litRPG at all, then you will most likely really enjoy this.
