Great Narrator, incredible writing!

I loved the battle of wits and deep conversations between Maxine and Dracula. I read so much fantasy romance… this one had SUBSTANCE and Complex characters which I really appreciate. The writing was so engaging and delightfully unpredictable. There’s so much crap out there written at a 3rd grade reading level. This book gave darkness, magic, sexual tension AND incredible writing. The steampunk imagery was on point too. I’d gladly enjoy a movie version of this book. If you’re ready to read something with MORE romance, (a true and beautifully profound joining of souls) then read it.

I had to warm up to the style of the narrator, I was almost distracted by his intense accents! But by the end I was applauding his performance!! He’s a great narrator.
