The jilted person, Adrian, WAS ANNOYING. She was nowhere near funny. She was a name-calling, my-pain-is-worse-than-your-pain, inconsiderate, tedious, and mean-spirited person. I did not finish the listen.
This is romantic lit so of course there would be an HEA. I just didn’t care enough about Adrian to care enough how and when it happened. I wanted her out of my head, which is a shame, because the narration was stellar. In fact, he narration is the only reason I kept listening but I just couldn’t take this person past chapter 17.
I’m sure Adrian got better. I’m sure all issues were resolved. I just didn’t care.
