I love sports romance, so I have pretty high expectations when I start one. I really enjoyed this one! It was my first Kimberly Readnour book, but it definitely won’t be my last! I originally grabbed it because I really enjoy Sarah Puckett’s narration, but the story really kept me captivated and Chris Brinkley did a great job as well.
As a baseball fan, I loved that there was a decent amount of baseball talk and references to keep the sports aspect of it going, but even a non-fan will be able to listen to this book and enjoy Braxton and Cara’s story. They had strong backstories, explosive chemistry, love, and enough conflict to keep things interesting. There were also great side characters that have me hoping for more from this series on audio soon!
And the audio is top notch! Sarah Puckett and Chris Brinkley did a fantastic job becoming these characters. They brought all the emotion, all the chemistry, and all the energy these characters needed. Once I started listening, I had a hard time hitting pause!
If you are looking for a baseball story that has heart and heat with great narration, this is definitely one I would recommend trying out!
