The writer makes you feel like your in a crazy mash up of a role-playing, empire building, and weird dating sim game. The protagonist is believable having a realistic moral compass, humility, and faults to make the readers see themself in him. The secondary characters while feeling like dream girls are also made believable through their personal struggles, choices made, and role they preform for the protagonists.
The performance in the audio book really brought the characters to life. The tone and emotion of characters and conversations made it feel like you were in the room with them.
