I’m a huge fan of post apocalyptic fiction, so I’m fascinated by Mr. Abrahams idea… multiple apocalyptic scenarios played out with the same characters. I began with this story (as he mentions, you can enjoy any of the series in any order) and am anxious to listen to the rest, now that I’m more acquainted with the cast.
That part was the only reason I didn’t give this novel 5 stars, there were so many characters introduced in the first hour that it made it difficult to follow along and really feel like the listener is a part of the story. As the book went on a became more familiar, it just took longer than I would’ve preferred.
The writing and narration were excellent! I’ll definitely be getting another in the series.
