So pleased to have purchased this title, even though another consumer worried about, and was distracted by, the large cast of readers. In The Ministry for the Future the directors made the right decision to reach out to secure a full cast of readers. Ministry for the Future has many first person narratives, and here it makes perfect sense to call upon different actors who best simulate that character and that narrative, Reading the book without the audio, too, and each chapter has a distinct voice that really demands a different voice to comprehend it well. I would contrast my thumbs-up for the large cast who read The Ministry for the Future, with another audio book I wound up abandoning, because in that book, several characters were in dialogue with one another and, in that context, the different actors did distract me and made it difficult for me to learn the characters and the arc of the story. With that said, and to return to my FIVE STAR review of this book, the writing is terrific in The Ministry for the Future and the performances are just as good.
