Have to say I blasted through this one, it was lots of fun and always enjoy the adventures of the main cast. Having read a lot of different LitRPG novels recently, I enjoy my time with these characters often the most. It is just fun, which for me is what I want out of this genre. The main story progression isn’t huge, but you get some developments that will definitely play a role in the story coming up.
The narration by Jeff Hays was outstanding, as anyone who has heard anything narrated by him would come to expect. He brings life to any story I have heard him narrate and often elevates what he is reading. He has great range, and a wide variety of voices and effects he employs. It is almost like you are listening to radio play by a big production of people when you listen to him.
Can’t wait to get the next book, this series is great fun.
