Really well done story about a guy and his difficulties in coming out. I really like the relationship between the two MCs. It felt genuine and real. I particularly liked that not everything turned out perfect. The MC’s fears that people important to him would not accept him being gay came true, but he had progressed enough in his own security that he was able to deal with it. I appreciated that, since a lot of coming out books tend to resolve in best case scenarios and it’s nice to see a story that reflects that not happening just like in real life. While I’m usually not a fan of Joel Leslie as a narrator, his Aussie accent is so good that I I do a full 180 and suddenly like him as a narrator. He did a great job with this book. All in all, I’d recommend this as a good, easy afternoon read, like a pallet cleanser between other denser books.
