Admittedly I wasn’t expecting for the introduction to be long, but I think it adds a nice context going into the narrative. Morrell conjures a charming little story world full of lessons and sweet interactions between Father Time and Santa. Their vulnerability, respect, and trust is very heartwarming to hear, such as when they kiss one another’s cheeks when bidding Father Time farewell the first time. I also love the sunset imagery. In that particular moment, the visualization of turning crimson to pink to an ominous dark color adds a nice touch of symbolism.

It’s a nice listen for kids to show them the importance of responsibility and benevolence, while conversely showcasing the repercussions of an increasingly nihilistic and selfish modernity. Yet, it’s also nice for adults as well to resurface a sense of hope and optimism in an increasingly tough world. Would recommend highly!
