This is book 5 of the Dragons of Valdier series. These books thus far all begin (after prologue) around the same time and place. The interesting part is that you see these same events from a completely different perspective and new eyes.

Carmen is broken inside and yet is a very strong heroine. She is not some weepy eyed weak heroine waiting for her rescuer. She is a take-action fighter! The only saving she needs is from her own inner-demons.

Creon must come to terms with having a mate who is as stubborn as he is and who can defend herself. He has to make her see that she can take the chance to love again after the heartbreak and loss she has faced throughout her life.

This is an emotional, seductive, and beautiful story that is well written and narrated. I could listen to it many times and still thoroughly enjoy it each and every time.
