i loved this book. the plot was enjoyable and light for the most part- there has to be some drama to make a story good. i think the dislike for police was a bit over-exaggerated but unfortunately some people do feel that way. It is only sort of a stand alone. Reading the others in the series, though not necessary, would have added to the story.
There are undertones of Church/God/Christianity which, as a priest’s wife and Christian, i LOVED. I loved that it was a clean romance as well.
The narration is good, not the best ever- but very very good. i don’t have an audible subscription, but do have KU so since i liked this book SOOOOO much, i went ahead and read the rest of them in the series as ebooks.
