This was unexpected but so good. This is one of those stories that hit you in the feels from beginning to end. Nyx and Nate are so different yet so alike that it was hard to not see them together. What I loved most of their relationship was that it developed organically. Yes, you can feel their attraction but their actual coming together doesn’t happen overnight and as a reader, you are invested. As much as Nate would want to be portrayed differently, he actually is sweet and protective and I loved seeing Nyx bring out that out in him. Sometimes the unexpected is exactly what you need. After having read this and then listening to the audio, it brought a totally different side to the story. It comes to life and I could picture everything. I actually couldn’t stop. The cast does such a great job with these characters and it has also given me a few new favorite narrators to listen to.
