I already know the story of the Yellow Wallpaper backwards and forwards as it was my favourite short story that I had to study during my undergrad. It’s a fantastic portrayal of a woman’s descent into madness as she is locked away in a room with no activities other than staring at the yellow wallpaper. However, keep in mind that this story was written in the late 1800’s and it posses the long flowery language of the time. I highly recommend this story to anyone interested in mental instability, and for anyone that is studying this story because it’s wonderful to have it read to you. Kitty Hendrix did a fantastic job reading this tale, and her performance effortlessly captured the essence of the protagonist.
