Laurent and Beast’s lives change drastically as the end of the world draws near. The incredible marriage they’ve built goes through incredible stress fractures. The focus is less on the physical building and the strangeness that occurs there than on the actual characters we’ve grown to know and (mostly) love. The plot is ingeniously woven with twist and turns. Many surprises happen near the end that were completely refreshing. Betrayal, revenge, murder, babies born of love and not birth, and even ultimate sacrifice play a part in the end of the world. Great ending to the series.
