It seemed like such an odd premise, and it is. A human, Anthony reborn as a monster ant 🐜 inside a dungeon! How could I resist! Before I even finished the first chapter, I stopped inorder to gift a copy to my daughter! I’m not quite sure what she’ll think as my level of weirdness might be higher than her’s. But for me the story simply resonated with my core. I absodamnlutely adored Chrysalis! And the narration with Soundbooth Theater and Jeff Hays at the helm is tops!
I also realized that there was a lot of similarities between this book and another wonderful book that my 4th grade teacher read, City Under the Backsteps by Evelyn Sibley Lampman, now long out-of-print. And that in itself might be why I loved it soooooooo!
