Seeing as I’ve already read the series, I know it’s a great story. I had just finished the audiobook version of the Witch of the Federation and of course, the first one was alittle sketchy until the actor found her pace and tones. I’m hoping this is the same case here…

But, until then I have to say I’m horribly disappointed by the choice Tantor used for this series. (of course, it’s kinda common with Tantor sadly)

The accents, tone, articulation and inflection are all off throughout the story. It’s hard for a deep voice to soften and this series requires alot of softer tones. the actor’s pitch is all over the place even within the same sentence, as if not understanding the tone of the scene.

it’s nothing personal to the voice actor, but so far, he’s just not the right guy for the job.

the story though, it’s a great sequel to the first arc.
