Good story, ok narrator.

I enjoy the story in these books. I’d actually read them in the past on Kindle Unlimited. I was looking for something to listen to and the sale made me think it would be worth listening to them in audiobook form to refresh the story in my mind before I get the most recent release which I haven’t read yet.

This narrator is “ok,” but I think their weakness is feminine voices. They focus so much on trying to sound feminine, that it’s like they forget how words are supposed to be pronounced.

Way too often I was hearing the emPHASis on the wrong sylLABble. If that makes sense.

With this being a side story, completely from the female sidekick’s perspective, it was a real problem in this book.

I find myself wondering if there are any narrators that use voice changing software to do different characters.
