The main character Jack starts out as somewhat desperate, obnoxious, anxious and self absorbed. As the story progresses we learn that in the past he kind of snapped. He recognizes that some of his actions aren’t up to his own standards and feels guilty, but then pushed them aside and he doesn’t seem to know what to do about them. By the end of the story, he’s had at least one cathartic moment and had grown as a person.
I also really like the idea of the scavenger class and how he played the character.
I’d like to read another story about Jack, to see his continued growth both as a person and as his in game scavenger character.
