The story may be a little formulatic, and schmaltzy…which I love at this (Christmas) time of year, but even if the story wasn’t as good as it was, the narration elevated it to wonderful. I have tons of audiobooks, and I’m pretty choosy on which narrators are great, and which ones are so bad I won’t download the book, no matter how much I love the author. J. Marie is not only expressive, yet somehow mellow and soothing, she does an excellent job with the male voice, and the best ever childrens’ voice I’ve heard.
