Even though it is a Christian story it is not lacking in grit and suspense. It has lots of references that are strictly Protestant evangelical with respect to end times prophesy and general moral beliefs that will likely be difficult for people not well versed in these to understand. That is what makes this series seem “preachy” in my opinion. There could have been less of that in the beginning and the story carry just fine. If you can get past the first part where a little too much complicated scriptural foundation (which is, in my opinion, flat out wrong) is laid it is still a good story. I enjoyed it very much.
