I enjoyed all of the character’s stories but I thought the ending of alex’s story for this book was poorly done. Jason spent three books to get where he is now and alex messes up at every turn and likely has the weakest connection to his mana that he has had and just gets handed the same reward. I can only assume it was to keep the conflict between them from being too one sided but I still do not like how it was done. but it is a small flaw compared to how good the rest of the book was.
