This was a good first book in a series. It was hilarious sometimes to hear Jolene’s inner thoughts. The story was mysterious as you don’t know why exactly she was denied the job and the mystery behind her hometown and why she doesn’t really remember her childhood. Maggie Indara did a great job narrating all the different characters as I was able to tell when it was a new character talking and she was able to put emotion into her voice when it was needed. Road to the Hollow was intriguing enough that I will be looking forward to the next audiobook so I can find out the secrets behind the town.
