Clearly, Yeager was a great American, fighter pilot and aviator. But, although he had help, his writing is trite, incredibly self promotional and lacks any maturity as he aged. There must have been 15 separate comments about Chuck’s incredible eyesight and close to that concerning his other natural gifts. I’m a fan of what Yeager accomplished but not of his storytelling in such a repetitive manner.
