What did I like about the story? • good pace and in interesting story • darker than the first • continues on with the world-building • I’m loving the complexities of Morgan’s character as we get to know him better.
• the underlying arc of the series only makes an minor appearance, this is a fairly standalone story so can be listened to without having done book 1 first.
Shawn Compton does a great job bringing this world to life, each characters personality shines through, he has good rhythm and believable inflections and it all works to make for an immersive audio experience.
