I liked the idea of the story, however the writing was NOT realistic. The story limps from good part to good part. One thing I didn’t like is that the characters get hurt and a day later they are just fine. All the main characters are involved in a major car crash and everyone just walks away, then sleep on the water-soaked ground and the next day getup and they’re not even stiff. The lack of knowledge the author has about every area talked about in the book is painfully obvious. Here are just two examples: One main character tells another main character they don’t know how to shoot guns. They’re just told it’s easy just point and pull the trigger. The entire group just throws on heavy backpacks and hike across country and not a single person gets a blister.
I will not be getting anymore books by this author.
