If an author wants to write a murder mystery, great. If an author wants to write a romance novel, great. But DON’T combine them! Plot was good enough that I did make it to the end, but barely. The narrator is probably a real nice guy, but he read too slowly and had an iterating warble in his voice. I’ve listened to over 1000 books so I have a good grasp of what makes an enjoyable listen. This was not enjoyable.
