I don’t do sci-fi fiction. So mixing sci-fi and post apocalyptic caught me a little off-guard (I only saw post-apoc when I bought it). I just don’t like all the liberties you can take with sci-fi. It’s bad enough that most post-apocalyptic books rotate around a superhero, like the magnitude of macho main characters in this book, but it’s even worse when you add a sci-fi villain. I also didn’t like the graphic sexual abuse. What I did like about this book was Kevin Pierce as the narrator. he’s awesome and can hold my attention. Anyway this is a well-written book, it is a solid story, but it’s just not in my wheelhouse.
