First of all, if you don’t like books about video games, this may not be the book for you. However if you like those books, or anime like Sword Art Online, then you should be in for a treat. This book involves an augmented reality game and a full immersion online experience. The combination of the two is pretty well done and the portrayal of how people who were not playing the game could not see the augmented reality portion was consistent and added an interesting element.

The narrators are both very good and the different male and female voices each have a lot of differentiation. I didn’t have any problems where I was confused as to which character was speaking.

The story was a little goofy at times and the young gamer boy ending up with a harem of powerful women is a bit of a trope, but it was fun none the less. It was really the narration that took this book from average to good.
