I truly enjoyed books 1-3. The beginning of book 4 I had to stop listening because of the dog Dixie. Maybe I’ll finish one day but what happened to her provoked a strong emotional response. I’m sure that was the authors intention but I couldn’t imagine letting my dog go to get gobbled up by a horde of hungry people. The dog dies, I’m out.
