The first 40 hours of this book, I was on board. Super fun, interesting plots and a lot going on. Twenty hours after that I was eh about it, everything the writer seems to have established as past characterizations seems to go out the window, except for the often joked about fetish of the main man’s love of old-time artists; which is overplayed to a point where I am no longer interested in listening to Bob Dylan or Led Zeppelin for fear I’ll think of Carl,

The last twenty hours I listened to only because I’d gotten that far.

It had its good moments, but overall I would like to see some more consistency or character personality changes that made sense.

Space wizards and magic to tech relations are a bit of redemption in the bad ploys.
