I read some other reviews and was so confused why some claimed so many falsehoods on a fictional story. Fiction isn’t fact. This book is one person’s view of potential events. I didn’t notice any racial connotations either but maybe I wasn’t listening for them. I just enjoyed the story. I did however find it a tad extreme at times and unrealistic in a few as well. But, it was a good overall story and intriguing enough to listen to book 2. I don’t read fiction to prepare for my survival. If I wanted a survival guide, that’s what I would read. I definitely wouldn’t take a fiction book so seriously.
