The story and narration are good. But even though the author repeatedly uses phrases like “this has nothing to do with politics…” or “which side you’re on,” and similar, this book set (more than the first set) reads like Pro-NRA propaganda. The whole plot becomes “it’s your guns or your life!” And of course the characters choose their guns. And the fact that the author continuously refers to these characters as “patriots” lets you know how truly political a tale this is. Too bad. The story idea is terrific. Get buried with your guns, I guess.
