It’s a shame the author felt the need to titillate with the age gap taboo while the sensitively of what’s been happening in the world of gymnastics is still so fresh/relevant.
Despite the story being too long, I felt myself sucked in, most times completely forgetting the characters age. Which is why her age could have easily been adjusted to make it a non issue, leaving the book to stand solidly on its own merits.
Good narration covering the characters/ genders/ accents well.
