good but books real world is getting to be cringe

I like the story but the books real world is slowly getting annoying.

Main issue I have is the author doesn’t seem to want to consider the implications or negative side of the new tech even though they had setup a perfect opportunity to. By fleshing out one character they could have done this and actually made the characters think about the new tech but instead made the character a one dimensional a## and called it a day.
