Lots of comparisons to Firefly can be made and the overall story has some fun concepts, i.e. mixing science fiction and high fantasy magic.
Personally, I have to say the idea of The One Church in the age of interstellar travel is the dumbest idea in sci-fi and it makes some characters thick as bricks and some sections a slog to get through. In a galaxy full of different species, there is really only christianity in space. kinda goofy.
Some missions are far better than others, but overall, not a bad way to spend a credit, especially for what you get.
