As far a the story go it’s quite a page turner. I also commend the author reference to the strong religious belief of the female military character. Many military members have a strong religious belief. It is understandable to have a personal guard for the targeted military character as caring weapons on base is usually for security police. only. lt shouldn’t be a sign of weakness on the military female’s abilies.
On the negative side the author could have done more research regarding military protocol . What irrated me the most is the references to enlist members saluting other enlisted members. Enlisted salutes officers not other enlisted members.
