I’ll be straight with ya, this isn’t the greatest series ever. There are a few parts where I just wanted it to end so I could move on to a different genre for a while. But, it’s an interesting twist on the mutant zombie genre, and it has some genuinely great moments. The writing is solid, and it makes the world feel pretty real. Not sure why the box art shows the MC in a gas mask, as I can’t recall him ever wearing one in all 9 books, but I’ll cut them slack on that one. Performance was quite good, though the main character, Zed, and his best friend Murphy often tend to blend together when they converse, and you gotta listen to the context clues or pay attention to who is saying what.

But, overall, it’s worth the credit. Can’t turn your nose up at 55 hours of decent quality audio book for a single credit. Not sure I’ll get any future books in the series unless there’s another massive saga compilation again though.
