Any additional comments?
The story was sophomoric & too plodding to hold interest. The protagonist was likeable but was also a sloppy police detective. He seemed unprepared the majority of the time i.e. not bringing a gun etc. It may have had something to do with the narrator but listening to character Replacement’s immature & frequent anger rants was stress-producing. I imagine the author felt it gave her “personality”. It gave me a headache. So many good reviews – why?
