After reading some of the reviews, I was hesitant to start this book, and I’ll be honest, the first chapter had me second-guessing my decision. However, with the introduction of Maxim, the story immediately got better.
The narrator for Derek really struggled with imitating the Russian accent for Maxim, but it didn’t ruin the book.
The angst was painful, and I absolutely loved every second of it. The sex scenes were SO hot, I will definitely be listening to those again!
The HEA was beautiful and well-earned.
