This is a multifaceted tale about two protagonists both with a great deal of trauma and arrested development who seek solace in each other. Despite him being significantly older than she and the statutory rape charge, both remain so stunted in their growth that the female protagonist’s physical growth is the thematic conclusion to a story. This story celebrates Stockholm-syndrome-esque trauma bonding and villlainizes the ONE adult in the female protagonist’s life who attempts to help her.
