That’s the truth. I tried to get through it, because we have all been teenagers with mixed emotions about people much older, and we all get through that. I didn’t care to read a book about how that line was crossed and then presented as an initiation into beautiful love.
I have bought many books that I just didn’t like, but this book… takes the cake. it’s appalling, horrifying, and it feels like grooming. it feels like the author’s message is “let’s make people feel good about inappropriate relationships that ‘just happen’ and lead to further trauma, sexualization, and normalization of the latter.
