Note to myself: pass on book 2
Let me start by saying that high perception does not mean the MC is perceptive. I will pass on book 2 in part because the writing uses a lot of questions by the MC to describe the system but it gets over explanative and makes the MC seem slow to pick up on what is going on around himself.
60 chapters in felt like a video game grind and then the over arching story seems to fall flat for any type of greater interest. I didn’t really get attached to the characters because the character building is extremely weak, by no memory design. That leaves the story a shallow video game grind.
